6. A Software-Defined Baseband for Satellite Ground Operations : Feasibility and Design
Abstract : Satellite telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) is a crucial activity needed to maintainthe health of a spacecraft or sometimes to facilitate payload data download. TT&Cground operations are facilitated by a communication device known in the TT&C communityas a baseband. READ MORE

7. Physical Layer Security Issues in Massive MIMO and GNSS
Abstract : Wireless communication technology has evolved rapidly during the last 20 years. Nowadays, there are huge networks providing communication infrastructures to not only people but also to machines, such as unmanned air and ground vehicles, cars, household appliances and so on. READ MORE

8. Mobile Satellite Broadcast and Multichannel Communications : analysis and design
Abstract : In this thesis, analytical analysis and design techniques for wireless communications with diversity are studied. The impact of impairments such as correlated fading is analyzed using statistical models. Countermeasures designed to overcome, or even exploit, such effects are proposed and examined. READ MORE

9. Dude, Where's My Car? Cellular Navigation for Autonomous Driving
Abstract : Position and direction estimation is useful for numerous engineering applications for commercial, scientific, and military purposes. Technology that fuses observations of signals broadcast by Global Navigational Satellite Systems (GNSS) with inertial measurements is standard for electronic devices, but this requires at least a periodically unobstructed view of the sky to perform reliably. 10. GNSS and Massive MIMO : Spoofing, Jamming and Robust Receiver Design for Impulsive Noise
Abstract : In this thesis, we focus on vulnerabilities and robustness of two wireless communication technologies: global navigation satellite system (GNSS), a technology that provides position-velocity-time information, and massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO), a core cellular 5G technology. In particular, we investigate spoofing and jamming attacks to GNSS and massive MIMO, respectively, and the robust massive MIMO receiver against impulsive noises. READ MORE
