1. Mapping the consequenses of physical exercise and nutrition on human health : A predictive metabolomics approach
Abstract : Human health is a complex and wide-ranging subject far beyond nutrition and physical exercise. Still, these factors have a huge impact on global health by their ability to prevent diseases and thus promote health. READ MORE

2. PREDICTIVE AND PROGNOSTIC MARKERS IN SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA OF THE HEAD AND NECK
Abstract : Survival of patients with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell cancer(HNSCC)is poor, with an overall survival < 50%, despite diagnostic and therapeutic advances. The identification of prognostic and predictive markers could help optimizing treatment. READ MORE

3. Small bowel obstruction and toxicity of a new model of adhesion prevention
Abstract : Abstract Background: Small bowel obstruction (SBO) is a common surgical diagnosis. If no signs of strangulation are evident, the majority of the patients can be conservatively managed. Approximately one third of the patients need surgical treatment and there is a need for early parameters that can predict operative intervention. READ MORE

4. Predictive biomarkers in rheumatoid arthritis
Abstract : Being a very heterogeneous disease, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is challenging for treatment. On a group level, some therapy options might be superior compared with others, however, this does not mutually exclude the less effective option to be more suitable for some patients, if the superior therapy option does not help. 5. Fundamentals of a Methodology for Predictive Design Analysis
Abstract : The rapid development of computer-based design analysis tools and methods such as the finite element method (FEM) within computational structural mechanics (CSM), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and multi-body systems (MBS) during recent decades has fundamentally changed the way in which products are designed and developed. Among the many advantages observed in industrial practice, one can mention improved understanding of product properties and behavior, the possibility to optimize critical design parameters and to optimize parts as well as the entire product at a system level, the possibility to explore a design space during the synthesis activity, and a decrease of the need for physical testing and thus of the number of physical prototypes needed.
