1. Interaction effects in the transport of particles in nanowire quantum dots
Abstract : Interactions between physical bodies constantly affect their properties. This thesis presents a theoretical study on the effects of interaction in few-body nanowire quantum dots. READ MORE

2. Electron transport properties of graphene and graphene field-effect devices studied experimentally
Abstract : This thesis contains experimental studies on electronic transport properties of graphene with the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) effect, thermopower (TEP) measurements, dual-gated graphene field effect devices, and quantum Hall effect (QHE). Firstly, in an effort to enhance the AB effect in graphene, we place superconducting-metal (aluminium) or normal-metal (gold) mirrors on the graphene rings. READ MORE

3. Thermoelectric phenomena in low-dimensional semiconductor systems
Abstract : This thesis investigates thermoelectric effects, predominantly in low-dimensional semiconductors. Various novel phenomena are predicted, investigated and discussed. READ MORE

4. Study the Influence of Quantum Interference on the Electrical Conductance and Thermoelectric Properties of Molecular Junctions : Synthesis and Thermoelectricity
Abstract : This thesis mainly describes our efforts towards the study of the quantum interference of electronic conductance and thermoelectric properties in molecular junctions. Chapter 1 introduces the concepts of the charge transport in single-molecule junctions, include the electrical conductivity and thermopower which are the main parameters to assess the efficiency of the single-molecule junctions. 5. Low Temperature Structural and Property investigations in the Zn-Sb System
Abstract : Thermoelectric Zn4Sb3 has a randomly disordered crystal structure at room temperature and undergoes a reversible sequence of phase transitions, β-α-α’/α, at low temperatures. During the transformations interstitial Zn atoms and Zn vacancies present in the β-phase become increasingly ordered. READ MORE
