1. Three-dimensional structured carbon foam : synthesis and applications
Abstract : Recently, due to the unique properties and structures such as large geometric surface area, electrical conductivity and light weight, 3D structured carbon materials have been attracting extensive attention from scientists. Moreover, the materials, which can provide well-defined pathways for reactants to easily access active sites, are extremely useful for energy conversion as well as environmental and catalysis applications. 2. Morphology Characterization of Foam Bitumen and Modeling for Low Temperature Asphalt Concrete
Abstract : Development of new asphalt technologies to reduce both energy consumption and CO2 production has attracted great interest in recent years. The use of foam bitumen, as one of them, is attractive due to the low investment and production cost. READ MORE

3. Foam Core Materials for High Performance Sandwich Constructions: Preparation, Testing and Properties
Abstract : The basic task for foams used as core materials in sandwich constructions is to separate the skin layers in order to enhance stiffness with little contribution to the total weight. However, modern design in sandwich technology require that core materials contribute to the perfor-mance with specific mechanical and physical properties. READ MORE

4. Insulation materials in district heating pipes : Environmental and thermal performance of polyethylene terephthalate and polyurethane foam
Abstract : District heating can contribute to increased energy efficiency in society. The environmental impact can be reduced by minimising the heat losses in the district heating pipes during distribution of the heat to the customers. READ MORE

5. Some Aspects of Foamed Bitumen Technology
Abstract : Although foamed bitumen has been widely applied in pavement construction some of its aspects are still not yet understood. In this study, some of these aspects including: effects of the foaming process on binder chemistry, characterization of foamed bitumen and development of a rational method to optimize foam characteristics, evaluation of aggregate particle coating within foamed bitumen treated materials, and development of a gyratory compaction procedure for laterite gravels treated with foamed bitumen were addressed.
