1. Development of Methanol-Reforming Catalysts for Fuel Cell Vehicles
Abstract : Vehicles powered by proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuelcells are approaching commercialisation. Being inherently cleanand efficient sources of power, fuel cells constitute asustainable alternative to internal combustion engines to meetfuture low-emission legislation. READ MORE

2. Selective oxidation over mixed oxide catalysts
Abstract : Since the metal oxide catalysts used in many chemical processes show very high selectivity for the products aimed at, both today and in the future, they play a key role in the environmentally and economically sustainable production of chemical intermediates. Two processes of this sort have been studied in the thesis: the ammoxidation of propane and propene over a Mo-V-Nb-Te-oxide catalyst and the selective oxidation of methanol over vanadium-based catalysts. 3. Nanostructured Fuel Cell Catalysts
Abstract : A long term challenge for society is to develop sustainable energy systems to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and to decrease air pollution. This requires new alternatives regarding the supply of energy and increased efficiency of the future energy systems. Fuel cell technology is one such possible alternative. READ MORE

4. Electrochemical Reactions in Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells
Abstract : The polymer electrolyte fuel cell converts the chemical energy in a fuel, e.g. hydrogen or methanol, and oxygen into electrical energy. The high efficiency and the possibility to use fuel from renewable sources make them attractive as energy converters in future sustainable energy systems. READ MORE

5. Single Copper Nanoparticle Oxidation
Abstract : Cu nanoparticles are commonly used in microelectronic devices and as catalysts in, for example, methanol synthesis and methanol steam reforming reactions. However, Cu nanoparticles are prone to oxidation. READ MORE
