1. Possibilities of using thermal mass in buildings to save energy, cut power consumption peaks and increase the thermal comfort
Abstract : The aim of this project was to generate knowledge to enable us to take advantage of heat storage in heavy building structures with regard to as energy savings, better thermal indoor climate, and reduced peak powers. This could include buildings that can function without energy input during cold periods, buildings that give a robust indoor climate without installed cooling, and buildings with good thermal comfort also in case of higher outdoor temperatures resulting from global warming. 2. Breaking the Unbreakable : Exploiting Loopholes in Bell’s Theorem to Hack Quantum Cryptography
Abstract : In this thesis we study device-independent quantum key distribution based on energy-time entanglement. This is a method for cryptography that promises not only perfect secrecy, but also to be a practical method for quantum key distribution thanks to the reduced complexity when compared to other quantum key distribution protocols. 3. Autobiographical Memory : Depending on sensory retrieval cue and gender
Abstract : In my thesis I raised two questions: Does autobiographical memory differ i) depending on the sensory retrieval cue (Study I and II)? and ii) depending on gender (Study III)?Concerning retrieval cues, three unimodal cues (i.e., photographs, naturalistic sounds and odors) and one multimodal cue (i.e. READ MORE

5. In vitro and in vivo studies on the toxicology of di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP) : Effects on reproductive, endocrine, and immune systems
Abstract : Chemical pollution is an increasing societal problem and has a major impact on human and environmental health. One important source of chemical pollution is plastic, which contains many different compounds with often largely unknown hazards. READ MORE
