1. I know how you feel : Emotion recognition accuracy and training in psychotherapy education
Abstract : Researchers, practitioners and legislators agree that it is important to understand which kinds of psychotherapeutic treatments lead to lasting positive changes in patients’ well-being, how those treatments can be administered in efficient ways and how it can be determined which patients would benefit from which treatment. In recent years, there has also been growing interest in those who practice psychotherapy; specifically, in the socio-emotional and interpersonal characteristics and competencies that psychotherapists should possess to provide high quality treatments for a variety of patients, irrespective of psychotherapy approach. 2. Micro-level claims reserving in non-life insurance
Abstract : Actuarial reserving deals with the problem of predicting outstanding claims payments on policies issued up to today to find an appropriate amount of capital, the claims reserve or technical provisions, to set aside in order to be able to meet obligations to policyholders. Historically, and commonly still today, this has been approached using purely algorithmic and deterministic methods, not based in any statistical models. READ MORE

3. Micro-crack initiation and propagation in fiber reinforced composites
Abstract : Predicting micro-damage initiation and evolution is one of the key challenges for safe design of fiber reinforced polymer composites. Micro-scale damage such as, for example, single fiber break may be unnoticeable and negligible during the initial service life of composite, however, with many loading and unloading cycles this initially micro-scale damage may propagate forming macroscopic scale cracks that can significantly reduce the service lifetime or even lead to unforeseen catastrophic failure of the composite structure. 4. Micro-cracking and delaminations of composite laminates under tensile quasi-static and cyclic loading
Abstract : Aerospace industry is devoted to improving the aircraft performance while reducing its weight and limiting the emissions. Part of this objective can be accomplished with the use of high-performance long fibre reinforced polymer laminated composites. READ MORE

5. On Performance of Digital Radio Receiver in Non-Gaussian Interference
Abstract : Interference from electrical equipment can degrade a co-located digital radio receiver severely. To avoid this performance degradation it is necessary to have estimation methods to predict the influence from an interference environment on a radio receiver in advance. READ MORE
