1. Covalent Vapor-Phase Grafting of Degradable Polymers
READ MORE

2. Microbial production of 3-hydroxypropionic acid and poly(3-hydroxypropionate): Investigation of Lactobacillus reuteri propanediol utilization pathway enzymes
Abstract : Concerns regarding environmental issues such as greenhouse gas emissions and climate change have led to a shift within the research community and chemical and energy industry sectors for finding sustainable routes for producing fuels and chemicals from renewable resources, thereby minimizing our dependence on petroleum. The C3-chemical 3-hydroxypropionic acid has been identifed as a top candidate for the biobased chemical industry. READ MORE

3. Electronic and optical properties of conducting polymers from quantum mechanical computations
Abstract : Conductive polymers are also known as "organic metals" due to their semiconducting properties. They are found in a wide range of applications in the field of organic electronics. However, the growing number of experimental works is not widely supported with theoretical calculations. READ MORE

5. Poly (butylene succinate) and poly (butylene adipate) : quantitative determination of degradation products and application as PVC plasticizers
Abstract : A solid phase extraction (SPE) method was developed for simultaneous extraction of dicarboxylic acids and diols formed during hydrolysis of poly(butylene succinate), PBS, and poly(butylene adipate), PBA. The developed SPE method and subsequent GC-MS analysis were used to extract, identify and quantify low molecular weight products migrating from linear and branched poly(butylene adipate) (PBA) and poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) during aging in aqueous media.
