1. Evolution of Future Heating Systems - Modeling of an Expanding City Using a Dynamic Systems Approach
Abstract : Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is central to meeting climate change mitigation targets. Since the energy sector is one of the largest greenhouse gas emitters, it is essential that all the actors within the energy sector reduce their respective emissions. READ MORE

2. Force Budget Analysis of Glacier Flow : Ice Dynamical Studies on Storglaciären, Sweden, and Ice Flow Investigations of Outlet Glaciers in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica
Abstract : This thesis contributes to the understanding of glacier response to climate change by ice dynamical studies on Storglaciären, Sweden, and Bonnevie-Svendsenbreen, Kibergbreen and Plogbreen in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica. Ice surface velocities, ice geometry and temperature information is fed through a force budget model to calculate ice mass outflux of these glacial systems via three-dimensional stress distributions for a flux-gate. 3. Warm Sheet Metal Forming with Localized In-Tool Induction Heating
Abstract : The increasing use of light metals and high strength steel in the automobile industry, demands for new sheet metal forming processes that can be applied successfully. In this thesis the subject of warm sheet metal forming is studied. READ MORE

4. Weld Cracking of Precipitation Hardening Ni-based Superalloys - Investigation of repair welding characteristics and susceptibility towards strain age cracking
Abstract : High temperature resistance and strength requirements make nickel-based superalloys the material of choice for the hot section of aero engines. Fabrication in terms of combining wrought and cast parts in the manufacturing of hot structural components enables component optimisation via the use of wrought high-strength parts, where geometrical constraints allow, and cast parts to produce complex geometries.
