1. The neutron-induced fission cross section of 233Pa : and the quest for clean and safe nuclear energy
Abstract : Neutron-induced fission of 233Pa has been investigated between 1.0 and 8.5 MeV, and the reaction cross section was determined. Due to the short half-life of 233Pa for β-decay, fission events from the daughter product 233U affect the analysis of the protactinium experiment. READ MORE

2. Reaction Cross Section Measurements for p,d,3He and 4He at Intermediate Energies
Abstract : Reaction cross sections were measured for protons at 65.5 MeV, for deuterons at 37.8, 65.5, 97. READ MORE

3. Nucleon-Induced Fission Cross Sections of Heavy Nuclei in the Intermediate Energy Region
Abstract : Fission is the most important nuclear reaction for society at large today due to its use in energy production. However, this has raised the problem of how to treat the long-lived radioactive waste from nuclear reactors. READ MORE

4. Dosimetry and radiation quality in fast-neutron radiation therapy : A study of radiation quality and basic dosimetric properties of fast-neutrons for external beam radiotherapy and problems associated with corrections of measured charged particle cross-sections
Abstract : The dosimetric properties of fast-neutron beams with energies ≤80 MeV were explored using Monte Carlo techniques. Taking into account transport of all relevant types of released charged particles (electrons, protons, deuterons, tritons, 3He and α particles) pencil-beam dose distributions were derived and used to calculate absorbed dose distributions. 5. Measurements of the Standard Model Higgs boson cross sections in the WW* decay mode with the ATLAS experiment
Abstract : This thesis summarises measurements of the Standard Model Higgs boson production cross sections based on proton–proton collision data at √s = 13 TeV produced by the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. By analysing data collected during 2015 and 2016 by the ATLAS experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 fb−1, the Higgs boson gluon–gluon fusion and vector boson fusion production cross sections are measured in the WW* decay mode.
