21. Scaling effects and homogenization of reaction-diffusion problems with nonlinear drift
Abstract : We study the periodic homogenization of reaction-diffusion problems with nonlinear drift describing the transport of interacting particles in composite materials. The microscopic model is derived as the hydrodynamic limit of a totally asymmetric simple exclusion process for a population of interacting particles crossing a domain with obstacles. READ MORE

25. Methods for availability improvements of a scaling machine system
Abstract : Scaling is the process of cleaning loose material from the roof, face and wall of the mine room in underground mining. The purpose of scaling is to make the mine room safe for the next operation. Due to the nature of the task, scaling has been identified as an operation with a high number of accident occurrences.
