2. Synthesis of a Model-based Tire Slip Controller
Abstract : The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is an important component of a complex steering system for the modern car. In the latest generation of brake-by-wire systems, the performance requirements on the ABS have changed. The controllers have to be able to maintain a specified tire slip for each wheel during braking. READ MORE

3. GCLA : the design, use and implementation of a program development system
Abstract : We present a program development system, GCLA (Generalized horn Clause LAnguage*), which is based on a generalization of Horn clauses (e.g. Prolog). This generalization takes a quite different view of the meaning of a logic program - a "definitional" view rather than the traditional logical view. READ MORE

4. Traffic-related pollutants in urban snow : Concentrations, size fractionation, and release with snowmelt
Abstract : In urban areas with seasonal snow, traffic-related pollutants such as solid particles, metals, chloride, organic pollutants, and microplastics (MPs) can be temporarily stored in snowbanks along roads and streets. When the snow melts, it releases the accumulated pollutants and the resulting snowmelt with diverse pollutants may partly infiltrate into the ground, or enter storm sewers and eventually be discharged into, and impact on, the receiving waters. 5. Control of Systems with Limited Capacity
Abstract : Virtually all real life systems are such that they present some kind of limitation on one or many of its variables, physical quantities. These systems are designated in this thesis as systems with limited capacity. This work is treating control related problems of a subclass of such systems, where the limitation is a critical factor.
